Dr. Somers believes that all children should receive the best possible medical care. Preventative care is a crucial part of your child's health care. Well child exams allow us to monitor and evaluate your child's overall growth and development. We also strongly believe that immunizations are an important part of this and contribute to the overall well being of your child's health. To accomplish this all children should be seen for well child examinations at the following ages:
Immunzations are discussed and given at these visits. We follow American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for the schedule of these well visits and vaccines.
You may schedule same day appointments for ill visits on a first available appointment. It is our intent to provide the best care and always to accommodate as many requests as is realistic and feasible. You may call to schedule an appointment at 903-230-3311.
Appointments for additional children should be made by phone before coming to the office. If you would like another child to be seen, please schedule appointments for both children by phone.
Arrive Early - Please remember that all insurance companies require that your data be updated prior to each encounter. This usually takes several minutes so please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment.
Late Arrivals and No Shows - If you arrive more than 15 minutes late we may need to reschedule your child's visit.
If you are unable to make your appointment for any reason, please call to cancel 24 hours prior to your appointment time. Otherwise a fee of $25.00 can be applied for no show.
Well and sick child areas are designated. Please proceed to the sick waiting area if your child has a possibly contagious illness. Please do not converse on your cell phone in the office and examination rooms.
